Anyone have any thoughts on what the suspension will be? In my eyes they should suspend Quebec's starter and let Roy play against Chicoutimi and the rest of what would be a short lived playoffs for him. What a punk.

as awful as the first incident was and should be a suspension i gotta laugh at the linesman who clobbered that player in white to keep him away from roy. and then roy did hold his own against that other guy.

Put Jonathan on the shelf for the remainder of the playoffs and make it mandatory that he be in net when these two teams meet next season - things will work themselves out. And someone should fire a puck at Patty Roy (hear Grapes talking?)...he is a total goof and disgrace to the game.

Hmmmmm, "SpiritNation" used the word "goof" and there was no reaction. When I used it a little while ago, I got jumped on like I had stolen the "Crown Jewels".

I have never understood the need for fighting in any sport, let alone hockey.  Given the circumstances, I'd ban him from the league, period, and I'd support the league pursuing legal charges against him.

I can't ever remember a time when I felt shorted by watching a good game that didn't include a fight.  Talent always wins over thuggery, in my books anyway.

Patrick Roy gets 5 games and son Jonathan gets 7 games and a $500
Maxime Lacroix, Remparts defenseman, gets 3 games and teammate Marc-Oliver Vallerand gets 2 games. The team got fined $3000.

Saguenéens winger Anotine Roussell gets 1 game and Charles-Antonie Messier gets 2 games. Sébatian Rioux gets 6 games for leaving the penalty box to take part. Chicoutimi gets a $1000 for a player leaving the penalty box and a $3000 fine as well.

The best way to discipline Quebec is to suspend the regular goalie, thus forcing the "less than talented" Roy the goalie Junior to play every game. This kid is a joke. If his father wasn't amongst the greatest goalies of all time,we'd be saying the same thing about him.. Actually, he is an idiot, but got away with it during his glory days, because he was as good a goalie as he was an idiot. Now he can watch his son have to live down the stupidity that we've seen, over and over and over. His son will always be remembered for this. At least he'll be remembered for something. It won't be for being a "chip of the old block". I think the score was 7-1 against at the time.

My question is why the other goalie did nothing to defend himself. Did he think that "Roy the Imposter", was comming down looking for an autograph? I'd have popped the little esobee as soon as he got into the blue. No point waiting for the first punch. Just drop the punk.

Here is a link and hope it works to Patrick Roy telling his son to go get the goalie. He encouraged this, now he has more than proven he is a complete whine ass and disgrace to the entire hockey world.
