OK, sorry to bitch because I do not help with the Forum, BUT...

How does one stop these F-ing "Network54 page switchovers"?

Every thread that you try to read, redirects me to some idiotic, nonsense product that no sane person would even consider utilizing. Then..I have to wait for the red button "option" to return to the thread. Goddam it, of course I want to return, that's where I started in the first place.

I didn't google "funny text messages"..I went to the OP forum. Jeez...

Yes, let me pay 10 bucks to get a text message joke sent to me, that I can get on any joke site for free. Yes, sign me up..i'll skip my morning coffee budget so I can get a "text funny".

It is the most aggravating goddam thing, trying to read
some great theads, only to be redirected constantly to that inane jibber jabber.

Wexdog, what does it cost to have that "service" removed? I'd be glad to contribute to the cost of having that "service" removed.

It bugs me as well, but maybe not as much as it seems to drive you nuts.
I only get it once, when I first get on this site. I get on the forum and about half the time it redirects me to that other site you mention and it does not happen everytime, at least to me. For instance it did not happen this time.

I will look into it.

It only happens the 1st time I log on to the Forum also. From there it disappears until I log out and log back in. It's a bit annoying, but I can live with it.

At least it's better than the Tigerpaws Forum where you get the "ding, ding, ding, ding" sound being the 1,000,0000,0000 person to log on.

Check this thread. Csspostal posted some pretty good stuff on Mozilla firefox browser that has some really easy to download free updates to avoid many of those ads;

Sure makes you miss those days even more when I was paying the $15 a month to keep the ads at bay for everyone (visualize me patting myself on my back)

Start a fund via pay-pal and everyone that hates it chip in. The funds go to pay the monthly fee to N54, and not Wexdog's biscuits simple solution really. Someone just has to lead!

there is a years worth of ad free forum reading free.
wexdog if you set it up im sure many forum faithful will be willing to put up the 15 bucks. please please please get it setup to get rid of the ads.

$180 a year just to get rid of the ads? You gotta be kidding me.

You could have a dedicated website for half that.

Or you could always use www.thefansforum.com which was offered last year by a friend of mine and which still seems to be sitting there with no ads. Proper forum with full functionality, unlike this fossil.

I added the Firefox browser.

Problem solved.

For me, it was particularly aggravating, as the "pop-ups" or site re-directs were happening every single time I switched threads.

For others, it only happens once, when you initially visit the site.
