Not being a Sens fan , I have to wonder what is wrong with this team. A team with so much swagger and promise last year looks in total disarray.
I know sans Fisher, Alfredsson and Kelly but this team does not look dominant like they once were.
Puck possession has always been their game and they did not have a lot tonight.
This in spite of having two man advantages a couple of times in the game when the score was 2-0 Pens. The young Pens kept handing them ooportunities to get back in the game with them.
No response from the Senators.
Bryan Murray looks an emotional wreck doesn't he? Could he be thinking if he cannot pull them out of their funk, he could be looking for a job nxt year?
One thing that is apparent to me. Redden, Neil and Emery have not been the same players they were last year. Their performance, as a group, has tailed off most noticeably this year.
I have to wonder if these three are not dealing with some off ice issues which may be affecting their on ice play.
Or are the Penquins finally rounding into maturity?
