Where Happened To Rick Cornacchia??April 13 2008 at 8:03 PM | SMC57 (Login SMC57) Registered Members |
| - What happened to Rick Cornacchia, anyone know?
Apparently he was given a one game suspension after the last game. Nothing appeared on the gamesheet of the last game in Markham. |

my guess would be that he received a suspension for one of his players (Free) leaving the penalty box in the last game. |

If that's true, isn't it wonderful, Free makes an ass of himself at the end of game 4, gets himself suspended and takes coach Cornacchia with him, to help kill the Waxer's chances of coming back.
Free and Harding, real team players!!!

in a different way.
Concerning this season and this season only they, Markham, made it farther then Aurora.
SMC all your whining and critizism of the Waxer players is starting to wear thin and probably getting on the nerves of other forum members.
Markham Waxers had their best season in quite awhile.
Great season Markham.
I hope they come back even stronger next year.
Go Raptors !
Go Jays !

It needed saying and you put it perfectly.
I will give credit to SMC . He did say Oakville would be too much for Markham. He was right.
But being right about a series' outcome is no reason to nail some Markham players to the cross for what he considered poor sportmanship.
It somehow undermines the accomplishments of this well-oiled Oakville Blades team.
They are worthy representatives of this league.

Come on Wex and Wayne, I have never undermined the accomplishments of the Oakville team. As a matter of fact I called them to defeat Markham, win the OPJHL and go all the way to the RBC right after they defeated the Tigers. They are an excellent team and I'm betting that they do go all the way to the RBC and they could quite possibly become the 2 team from the OPJHL to win an RBC Cup.
Also, I'm getting a little tired of always being looked on as the bad guy whenever I give an opinion. Why don't you get on somebody else's case like the person who sent in the thread "The Markham Idiots Have Taken Over" and some of the others. If you think that Free and Harding acted, in the 4th game of the series, as team players to further benefit their team, then you haven't had much experience in coaching. The game was lost but the series wasn't. They acted in a selfish manner with little thought to the rest of their team mates or, as it turned out, to their coach. The team was without a skipper tonight and it showed.
That's my opinion and if the truth were known, the opinion of many others connected with the Waxer team, they just don't want to express their opinions publically.
