I think it is time for Bob Cole to call it a career.
I did not think he(Cole) was that bad, but then I hear Jim Hughson do play by play.
It is then you realize how far Cole has fallen. He is like the veteran whose skills have diminished, but will not retire. His loved ones should tell him it is time to come home for good.


I dearly hope Hughson does the final.
I do not like Hughson, but he is one of the best play by play persons out there.



What the hult was Gary Galley trying to say about the Ottawa non-goal ?
Something about trying to kick the puck to his stick ... over and over and over etc.

OK OK !

Gary, we understand !
You thought the Senator player was trying to kick it up to his stick.

I like the duo of Hughson on play-by-play and Craig Simpson on commentary. I wish they would do the Montréal series, or at least bring back Dick Irvin for another go.

While there never will be another Danny Gallivan, Hughson is very good. I also like Harry Neil's colour commentary, he always has something relevant and witty to say.

Unfortunately for Gary Galley, his fanaticism for the Sens clouded his judgment on the play in question. It doesn't matter what the player's intent was, it is what the actual action was.

As bad as Bob Cole is, I cannot stand Dean Brown.

Some advice for Galley from Lou Reed.

"Valium would have helped that crash"

He was, it must have been a bitter pill for him to swallow. He usually calls the Sens game and he does it like Bob Cole calls the Leafs

CBC blew it by letting Chris Cuthbert get away....

Hughson and Mark Lee call great games as well.

I also agree with the previous poster that Danny Gallivan was the best of all time.

While Im dropping names.... I've had the pleasure of meeting Dick Irvin a couple of times. Great guy... very nice... very classy. A true gentleman.

I wish that the CBC would lure him back to call the Habs playoff games. You hear his voice and all this history just hits you.
