Oakville must do everything to change Greenham's mind

I am not convinced that Oakville has the type of confidence in their backup netminder that is necessary to be the Central Representatives at the RBC.

Oakville ownership, in my opinion, should do WHATEVER IT TAKES to get Greenham in the net for the Dudley final and any further games to be played. Although Oliver Wren is an 87 with a number of years experience at this level, his track record indicates his level of ability.

Oakville could not keep their young goalie from last season (Matt Hoyle)around this year and it will become painfully obvious that their lack of securing a solid backup to Greenham will be their most costly, and quite possibly, their only acquisition error of this season.

So to make it very clear... do whatever it takes to get Greenham on the ice...whatever it takes. I don't believe Wren has what it takes but I would be only too happy to eat my words should the Blades have to use him and they are able to prevail.

Good luck to the Blades.

I don't agree. The Oakville management should have regognized the potential problem long ago and should have taken the necessary steps available to comply with the NCAA rules before Scott's birthday as the Tigers did with Jeric Agosta in 2006. Maybe Oakville didn't think they would make it to the Dudley.

I feel sorry for Scott to have to make the decision, but to lose a year of eligibility in the NCAA is a major sacrifice for a young man to make this early in his scholastic and hockey career.

Why should Greenham sacrifice approxamitely $45,000.00 in US funds as a D1 recipient to continue playing for Oakville and have to sit out one year in his scholly ?????????? I may not have all the information necessary to answer this question but I do believe I am not far from the truth !!!!!!!!

He could be sacrificing 4 years ,The year he has to sit out I am pretty sure he would have to attend the school but not play Hockey ,There for a school might be reluctant to give him a deal 4 years tuition for three years of hockey ,I can remember sort of the same thing with I think it was Joe Murphy playing for Pembrooke against Orilla in the 80's he could not play game 7 to see who went to the Centenial Cup , I think it was the same circumstance's

Oakville loses ?

Greenham gives up one year, at least, for what.

The way I understand it, the kid made up his mind.
Leave him alone now.

Go Raptors !
Go Jays !
