Okay, I know this is not hockey related, but I am damn proud of my brother (well, cousin, but we were raised as brothers), Drew Wright, who made the top 24 of Canadian Idol. Hopefully, if there are any Idol fans on this forum, you will watch, enjoy Drew's singing, and vote as much as you can for him.
I "know" someone competing in the "Search for the new Maria" for the Sound of Music. I saw the movie for the very first time about a year ago. Pretty good movie.
Tonight's the night he makes his first appearance in the top 24. 8 PM on CTV, everyone please watch and vote. Why? Because he'd vote for you. I think. Probably.
Thanks, guys. We appreciate any support we can get for him.
Canadian Idol brought him to Collingwood for a hometown concert that they filmed last Saturday, and there were more than 4,000 people crowded into the park at The Station Museum. We were there, and the show was fantastic. Some privately shot video of the concert is on YouTube, just search "Drew Wright, Collingwood" and you can see his performances.

Good luck boys!
Dale, I've had connections to Collingwood my entire life. Since I was about 5, my grandparents lived there, so frequent visits were the norm. I also lived there with my grandma twice, spending grade 8 at Admiral Collingwood. One summer, when I got kicked out of my parents' house, I went up there to look for work, and if I had found it I would have been knocking on the Blues' door to volunteer with the team. Not a word of lie, that was my plan. Ended up moving back to Ajax though.
As for Mookie Morris, a lot of people are getting behind him. Personally, I think he is a talented performer, but I can't get into his actual singing. It's just not my cup of tea, I guess.
