The Central is not allowed to pay College or University tuitions.
Yet the Dukeshave recruited at least one local Trenton lad this season that played last year for Picton.
The Dukes convinced the kid not to play in Trenton by paying for his Police Foundation courses the next 2 years at near by Loyalists College.

If this is true, does it surprise anyone?????

I have heard of this happening in other cities where teams have offered financial help for players to go to school. Some guys do not have the amount of credits to go to a US school on a scholarship so they go to a local college. I don't know how accurate your facts are, but it happens everywhere

I'm sure it does happen elsewhere, however the Central Conference apparently does not allow such a practice.

So why, if true, are the Dukes paying a player's tuition for a College course?

I guess the Central is not as good and pure as they make themselves out to be.

Will there be suspensions forthcoming for the Duke's actions?? or will the "perverbial rug" be brought into play.

I know for a fact this isn't true. Another "fishy" story about the Dukes because of their success. I am pretty sure anyone would go to Wellington before they went to the Trenton franchise at this point

Kimbo, please identify the Duke supporters that said on this forum there were no drinks on the bus. I never saw or read that so I am just curious to who would have claimed that.

I always wonder how an opposing fan finds these things out. Who told(from team A) and why them(someone from team B) ? I am curious as to how Muskiefish came by this information, just a rumour.

Come on, if it makes the Central look bad SMC will beat it until it is dead. As soon as I read "Dukes", "Central" and "paying" I knew it was only a matter of when he(SMC) notices and away we go.
