What is happening !!!!!!!!!!!1 the great Tigers complete with less than average D and tending are looking like an also ran club this year.

Have heard through the vine it will be Orillia and Collingwood going head to head for the division title however many feel Orillia is not tough enough.

Time will tell

I was confused myself as to what to make of Aurora after watching both games against Newmarket last week. Either the Canes are looking strong for this coming season or the Tigers have regressed following years on top - it just depends on which fanbase you ask I suppose?

As everyone knows, the Tigers are going through some major changes right now including two new owners, new management and new coaching staff. About the only thing that has not changed is the day game staff and volunteers at this point.

All this has in my opinion has effected the performance of the team to date and that coupled with the fact that their #1 goaltender has only played 1 exhibition game against Stouffville, in the Cat's 1st pre-season game that they won 6-3. He suffered a minor groin injury in that game and has been kept out of play ever since.

The Tabbies have started slowly in a lot of prior years but have always improved and finished strongly. When the final bell is sounded the Cats will be there as they have always been.

As an aside, after watching both exhibition games between the Tigers and the Hurricanes, I would have to say that the Canes look very strong and should be a very big threat in the newly formed CCHL.

When the Tigers and Canes meet you can toss the CCHL and OJAHL comparison "crap" aside. Both exhibition games were typical Tiger/Hurricane games of the past, the fans loved it. Alas, these two teams may never meet again in league competition, what a shame and what a loss to their fans.

PM, don't even go there.

You know absolutely nothing about what transpired between the Canes and the Tigers regarding the "Battle of Yonge St" discussions.

I know exactly what transpired and you are completely "off base".

If you do know what transpired then all it does is prove what "wingfan" has been saying all along and that is that you are part of the Newmarket organization and if so it's very obvious who you are. If you are not part of the Hurricanes then you know "dick" about what has gone on.

You had best keep your mouth shut on this one unless you want to "expose" your identity.

The article does not tell the whole story, so leave it at that.

things keep getting better for collingwood ....

when i wrote a story from an interview with the coach mid summer it was .... should be top ten

the owner in a seperate interview last week was excited about camp and was aiming for top five

and now its a battle for the division title with couch

( it would be a great throw back to the mid to late nineties when the two met five straight years in the play offs ... great for the fans games just an hour away and great battles on the ice)

so i guess we get a chance to see if its possible this friday in rama.........(actually i have try outs with my midget team so i will miss it,,,)

if this happens it will be great for collingwood fans who have been waiting for a return to the glory days...

Orillia / Couch

I think it is way to early to predict who will do what in this division with Kingston,Oakville,Georgetown,Huntsville,Couchiching,Aurora,Collingwood all being possible contenders,I would be very surprised that Couch won't be tough enough.
