Funny how when the Tigers had been on a roll you had been all over the this site regarding just how great the Tigers have been. Now you come up with excuses such as new owners, a new coach etc.
Perhaps when the Tigers would win a series in the past the teams that they had been facing may have been in the same position. I would like to point out that at no point did you ever give the other teams the same consideration. I guess what goes around comes around.
Perhaps the good news is that we will not have to listen (read) to all of the smoke that you have been blowing over the past.
"smashtiger" I guess your login tells it all how you feel about the Tigers.
First of all by your comments, you obviously have never been involved with a major hockey team at the ownership, management or coaching level or else you wouldn't make the ridiculous statements that you have. For those that have been involved, they know that such major changes from one season to the next does effect a team in many ways, most importantly the players. One only has to look to the Maple Leaf organization over the past several years to understand my point, or do you think that the Leafs are a wonderful successful lot.
Due to the changes in Aurora the players have been effected greatly as evidenced by those who did not return, so take it from there if you can possibly comprehend what I am saying.
Secondly, I was not aware that I was making excuses for the Tigers, I think my comment was that they will be there when the final bell sounds.
Thirdly, I mentioned that the Canes appeared to me to be a very strong team this season and will be a major factor in the CCHL from what I saw of them in the two exhibition games with the Tigers, so don't say that I don't give credit where credit is due.
To summarize, your comments are completely out of line and only reveal that you have had little or no experience in major hockey at the management level or otherwise.
Actually, smashtiger, I would say that that is more a function of you hiding behind an anonymous forum handle than any ignorance you are trying to imply on SMC's part.
For all the disagreement I have with SMC on a lot of things, he is one of my favourite people on the forums to banter with, primarily because he does not hide his identity. I am secure in the knowledge that I know exactly where to find him if we ever want to have a sit down and gentlemanly debate over a pint or two.
I have always maintained that to hide your identity and make comments as you have in such an anonymous way is very cowardly. Grow a set, and come out of hiding...maybe then I can take what you say seriously.
