I am wondering when somebody is going to teach Pickering's pointstreak operator how to enter shootouts. Until he learns that, I am guessing we are going to see a bunch of overtime penalty shot goals out of Pickering this season.
Is that what that was ... a shoot out ? !
The first time I figured something happened at the end of overtime to call a penalty shot. I have since become suspicious. lol

The first time it happened, delayedpenalty stated over on Tigerpaws that it was actually a shootout. I am going to state that it is safe to assume that is the case again.
"Complete shambles in Lindsay tonight. 4-1 up in the third and cruising to victory. someone forgot to tell Whitby."
this one was in the bag halfway through the third. lol. but as usually happens when a "pretender to the throne" sits back to admire their handywork, the opposition stormed back with four unanswered goals.
to be fair though whitby kept working whereas the fish did not. hence, whitby eventually came out with the "w". whitby did a great job smothering the fish all night. when the score was 4-1 for the fish, i actually felt kind of sorry for the fury as they had been the hardest working team on the ice imho. not too often you see a bret meyers team outworked and out hustled.
if things don't turnaround in a hurry, i can see changes happening right quick. meyers won't let this happen too many times before the winds of change start to blow.

Awesome job Cobourg. nice to see you take this over the dukes.
Sharpie the friday night Ajax Pickering game did in fact end in a shoot-out as well...Seems when I go to a game now it goes the max distance (I like to make sure the fans get their money's worth), when I don't go it's a blow out.
I spoke to Bruce Jennings about that in Bowmanville today. I am going to e-mail him step-by-step instructions his scorekeeper can use for entering a shootout in the future. Bruce is also going to look into getting it changed in the two games that were entered incorrectly.

looks like it's already starting. heard the fish have brought in two new dmen and traded lapenskie. just what i've heard though, can't confirm.

That is correct but note that it started a while ago. When did Lapenskie last play? 18th I think. Two games in and he was done. He had size but not much else I think.
