If you consider blowouts to be games in which one team has beaten the other by four goals or more, here's something interesting.
I don't know about you but I want competitive games for my entertainment dollar. And , I would like my team to win, of course, as any fan would.
The CCHL has had 12 games of the 56 played in the category as being not very competitive. That is a 21.4 per cent.
The OJAHL has had 8 of 35 games played classed as blowouts. I saw one last night and I should have saved my 9 bucks. Vees beat Collingwood 9-3. And the percentage? 22.8 per cent.
Right now, the 2 leagues are nearly a wash in terms of competitive games for their fans.
A pretty clear indication that no matter where you sit, you get pretty good value in either of the two.
And that should make each of the camps (CCHL and the OJAHL) quite satisfied that they are achieving some good results regardless of which rules of engagement they use.
Stay tuned.
