Biggest surprises for me are:
Success of Trenton (expected to be in expansion team status therefore struggling but have played well against good teams with results)
Struggles of Huntsville and Collingwood |

How could you consider Trenton an expansion team? They were an exisiting team that moved and took the roster with them... |

There are few players who played in Port Hope with the Golden Hawks this year. I can think of only McCarty and Finney though there could be more.
So basically, though the franchise moved, the team had to be built from the ground up.
GM Clayden and coaches Muir and Goody have done a pretty good job of making this team competitive right away.
Most thought they would be hard pressed to compete in light of the team falling into disarray last year and not finishing the season.

And that is different from any other year?. There is also Pernanowsi, Savard, Camilleri, Finney to go along with McCarty. There were at least 10 more when they annoucned the move, Baldwin, Tillart, Best, Webby, Moffatt, Howes to name a few.
Just to throw in, I sse Moffatt is now in an Eagle uniform from summaries I read on Monday.

I have also heard them being referred to as an expansion team many times.McCarty,Pernerowski,Camilleri and Finney are the only Predators still on the team Travis Savard was up until about two weeks ago i would say also that is from the ground up Mr Clayden is doing a great job at putting a team on the ice for us Trenton fans to watch.Another big game for the Hawks tonight a they take on the third place Oakville Blades i am sure it will be another great game to watch.
