Don't know how many of you saw the Rogers telecast of the Newmarket/North York game last Thursday night. Scott Ferguson and Russ Herrington do the play by play and colour.

Russ was very critical of the CCHL during the broadcast for allowing the NY Rangers to play with a large percentage of their sweaters lacking player's names. He said that the CCHL and the OJAHL have rules pertaining to names on sweaters. Sometimes a new player comes in and they don't have time to put his name on his sweater, however there were so many without names on the NY team that it could not have been the case. Russ's comment, "for a league that prides itself on their rules, what gives"??

During the post game wind up, Herrington made the following comment that even took me by surprise. "scouts no longer want anything to do with the CCHL".

What gives CCHL, have you ruled yourself out of the game??

Sorry SMC57,
That is pretty petty don't you think?
I was at a OHJL game and there were quite a few sweaters without names. This early in the season it is going to happen.
SMC57 you are better than this.
