Apparently the young man who contributed to the firing of Tom McCarthy is back in the league. Rumour has it that he had a Junior C team pay for his release from the Huntsville organization (I know, you don't need a release to drop down but there was an exchange of funds) and then approach Cooch because there was now no cost to Cooch.
The antics and underhanded methods of this young man will catch up with him some day and I question his ability to look in the mirror.

What a proud addition to the Cooch lineup!!!!

If you would like to see him in action, he will probably be sitting in the middle of the bench filling the water bottles happy.gif

Not quite the way it works unless some people just caved to move the kid. If his name is on a card, movement down is not automatic unless Huntsville wants it to be. Also, unless Huntsville gave him his outright release, Huntsville would still retain his Junior A rights and Cooch would need to pay for that, regardless of whether he was on a "C" card or not.

Bottom line, the only way he goes from Huntsville to Cooch is if Huntsville didn't care.

I don't think that Huntsville is bothered either way....they got compensated for him from the Junior C team and after all of their efforts, the boy called and bailed on them. Cooch had always refused to pay anything for him. In a perfect world, the coaching and management team for Cooch will fill his gas tank and send him on the 400 South back to the team he swindled.

Yep, Shamrook is right. You most certainly do need releases to drop down and Tier Two teams do have the rights to players dropping down for two years if they want them. Huntsville would know what was happening somewhere along the line.
