When was the last time we saw a Kingston team under 300 minutes PIMS after 20 games into the season? Well, don't look now but they are the only team under that 300 minute mark in their league right now.
After so many years of taking too many penalties to give them a chance to win, and so many of the coaches being crucified for their lack of preaching their players discipline, there they are.
The Kingston Voyageurs should take a bow. Well done so far, boys.
If you don't think it translates into success, all you have to do is look at Wellington's totals over the years. They are consistently one of the least penalized teams in the league. It is a large part of their perennial success. The Dukes are the only team in the East to do it and fittingly, they lead their division.
Three teams in the west division of the CCHL have that distinction. Newmarket and they lead the West division. Streetsville, in the middle of the pack and lowly Dixie, in last place. are the others.
