yuor hair's natural growth pattern and a little breakage where it seems thinner on the ends? I think most people's hair grows in layers b/c the top of the head is furthest from the bottom. Naturally, the hair on the bottom half of the head would reach the shoulders quicker, provided that it grows each month. I think most people who don't have them have vut them out over time by constantly cutting the bottom rows so the top can catch up? Does that make sense? Any time I've ever no t had them, this was how the hairdresser got all the hair even.
As for the thinning of the ends, I'm nto sure it's some shorter hairs from natural shedding of if t he ends have broken off some. I guess you could examine how much hair is t hat way to deterine what the likely answer is and determine how your ends look. If your ends look like they need a little trim, then I'd do one. If not and you don't mind the layers, I wo uld just let your hair do its thing. Just a hunch...I sure don't know it all!
