It was interesting to learn about the specific cases that led to students "modified" rights today, but my biggest question is why we have no personal property rights. I find this to be a big invasion of my privacy, especially that your car can be searched during the day without your consent. And I could be wrong, but isn't it legal now in Virginia for any car (not just on school grounds) to be searched without reason?
