Today I heard a girl telling my teacher that we didn't have to stand for the pledge if we didn't want to. He always gets mad if we don't and yells at us but I think its pretty cool that you don't have to. Some people might not agree with what the pledge says (eg:one nation UNDER GOD) or they might not be from America. How do you guys feel about standing for the pledge? do you think its disrespectful if people don't?

The pledge of the United States of America, should be the most exciting thing to say in the world. It shows that when you say it, you agree with the laws and rules of the country.. Yes people should stand during the pledge. It won't hurt people to stand for all of the 25 seconds it takes to say it.
And one of the most touchy subjects these days is the "under God" part of the pledge.. Why, people are afraid that God might hurt somebodies feelings. But in fact, this country was founded upon Godly principles. The Supreme Court even ruled that this country was a "Godly nation" I think God is sick of being left out of this world. We put more respect into the quran, than we do the Bible, and the Bible has never ever once been proven wrong..So, if your another religion, and you dont believe in God, then simply do what us humans have to do from time to time.. Do things we dont want to do, and say the pledge.

I look forward to saying the pledge everytime in class...
