The shelter at the Fort Green end of Crag Path is one of several ugly structures in Aldeburgh, which have no claim to being "traditional", "quaint", charming", olde-worlde" or whatever designation is given to rubbish in general.
      Possible improvements may include its

demolition; then possible replacement -- for which we would have to pay.
or repair and refurbishment for which we would also have to pay
or sale, lease, rent to a commercial undertaking which might provide a service or other amenity to the Town's advantage.
No doubt these and other suggestions have long been considered by the Society.
My own opinion is that a commercial concern may be the best option because costs would be borne by that company, not the ratepayers.
