Dear Resident
As you are aware there is to be another Town Council election. This was bought about by yet another hard working councillor’s resignation. Again this was down to the councillor concerned not being able to work within the current regime. This makes two resignations for the same reason within the last few months. We now hear that another councillor who has done a great deal of important work for the town has resigned as Chair of the committee.
I, as you probably know, have now put my name forward for election on to the Town Council on two occasions and I intend once again to stand for election on 4th May 2006.
I came very close to being elected in the last two elections and am still as keen as ever to represent the residents of Aldeburgh on the town Council.
I can claim to have instigated the last two elections. I make no apologies for this; I do not believe it is in the best interest of Aldeburgh residents for Councillors to be co-opted on to the Town Council.
It should be the choice of you, as a resident of Aldeburgh to decide who you wish to represent you, not just a select number of the current Council.
