I think that Maru

by

just came out and said what she has obviously been feeling all along. And since she said it as a part of one of her whole wound-up tantrum scenes, maybe the adults thought that it would be better not to respond to those words. Luis did call Maru on it earlier--when he said that he loved her and that he wasn't going to permit her to be maleducada (wasn't it when Maru called Victoria "esa tal Victoria"?) and he got nowhere. I think that the adults are really stumped by Maru--or at least stumped by how they can get her to change and to accept Victoria.

And Maru has won. She has driven Victoria away, because Victoria knows better than to try to form a home with Luis while his daughter hates her.

Now we have seen Victoria get into a horrible accident--right after Maru expressed her hatred and her evil wish. So as Jeri says, program those VCRs!
