Victoria went to Esteban's apartment to talk about a couple of things with him, and after arguing about why Sergio supposedly went to see him the night before he disappeared Victoria showed him the diskette with all the business for Emprezas Quintana. He was up against the wall again.
When Victoria told him she wanted to see what was on the diskette, he quickly said that his computer was not working and would LATER have another one sent so he could see what was on the diskette. He told her she shouldn't be there because it might upset her too much and she shouldn't be upset because she's pregnant.
But she kept insisting and saw Sergio's laptop on the desk. "Oh, look what we have here" she said, DAMN! Is what Esteban thought! And just when they were going to use it the phone rang--Mauricio called to tell him he was leaving because he didn't want to be around him anymore and live with a murderer.
He also, by the way, left letters for Victoria, Andres and the police telling them of everything Esteban did. GOTCHA! While he talked to Mauricio on the phone, Victoria tried to fix the laptop and when Esteban returned he told her that it was Mauricio's laptop and he didn't want he to use it.
But she kept insisting until the doorbell rang and Andres showed up to talk to him. Perfect timing, in Esteban's mind, and he ordered Andres not to leave until he told him what he came to talk to him about. Okay, you asked for it--Andres started to tell him everything he found out and told him he knew he was the one responsible for Alfredo's disgrace.
Esteban was shocked! Why?....Then Esteban fessed up and told the truth after he pulled out the gun and told them not to move or he would shoot them both then preceded to tell them how stupid each were and Alfredo's father was stupid and Victoria was stupid---hey how about how stupid you are now for getting caught, ESTEBAN!!
And he went to leave when the hero walks in to save the day--LUIS! He wrestles the gun from Esteban and saves Andres and Victoria. When Esteban come to, he starts telling them he has no reason to go on because the one thing he cared about has left him (Mauricio) and he has nothing else. He did everything for nothing--No valia la pena. Poor baby!
With that he threw himself out of the window. Must you be so dramatic? But death was going to be too easy--instead he is condemned to be paralyzed with no movement except use of his brain. He'll be able to hear and think and see but can't talk or move. What a life..He thought...I want to die..Damn Victoria, Damn Mauricio, Damn Andres, Damn Luis....anybody else? You got yourself into this, honey!
Anyway, the good news is that everyone will now be able to buy their apartments and become homeowners. Nacho has popped the question to Lolita (too bad the ring didn't fit on the right finger!) And Ruffino is still trying to get Julia and she is still playing the waiting game.
Andres has decided to leave because he still loves Victoria and has to be far from her. So he meets her to say goodbye and she thanked him for allowing the people of the vecindad to be able to buy there homes. He still doesn't want them to know he did it. He doesn't want thanks. He's a good guy after all.
And he also said goodbye to Chiripas, who was crying because I wanted to. But the frowned turned to a smile when Andres gave him two tickets for him and Shakira to meet him in PARIS!! can't get rid of him that easily!!:) He's done his duty anyway saving Luis from the cancer.
It was back to work for Luis, unfortunately. Because as usual a fire broke out and he went to put it out. At the scene, a tanker truck was blazing and started to move so Luis who was in charge ran to catch up and got into the cabin but the brakes didn't work and while he kept trying the truck blew up-twice with Luis in it!! He managed to get out of the cabin but was severely burned.
Andres at this time went to the fire station to say goodbye to Luis when the comandante told him what happened and he went to Victoria to tell her something grave has occurred. Great just what she needs now after just a moment ago feeling a sharp pain in her belly. Don't lose the baby, it's Luis'! And that's all she'll have left.
