Selma, nice to meet you and happy that you decided to join this wonderful group of brug worshippers. Everyone is friendly and happy to help out when we have concerens, questions, etc. Many of us are fairly new to brugs and we've all learned so much from our members who have been growing them for years. You'll gain so much knowledge from the prior posts and don't hesitate to ask questions you have about your "new found hobby". Believe me, you'll be addicted quickly like the rest of us.

Unfortunately, the wish list is closed right now so you won't be able to request specific brugs. What brug were you gong to request? If you only have one pink right now, you could probably use almost anything to get you started. I have Dr. Seuss and what I think is Charles Grimaldi that I could share with you.

How did you hear about our brug forum?

Here are a few helpful websites about brugmansia:

Hi again. Thanks for the welcome. I am not looking to expand my collection very quickly yet (yet)! I was just wondering how you folks know, or remember, what name goes with what plant (flower)?
I do enjoy my pink brug, and the fragrance, sultry, heady, subtle. wow! I first saw a brugmansia plant blooming in front of our temple, and had to find out what it was! I than learned it had other colors (other than yellow), and tried to order one online, unfortunately I didn't know how to start it (watered it too much, and rotted the roots). So I got frustrated, and went to a local nursery and bought a blooming plant!
How did I find this site? Well, I was on the computer, and bored, so I was looking through Brugmansia on the search, and you folks were on the 2nd or 3rd page!!
Let me see if I can overwinter this plant, and maybe start some from the prunings before I relegate any other plant to what may be a fate worse than death! <g>

Hi, Selma and welcome. To better acquaint yourself with brugs and the way to root them, care of them and in general, just grow them - read through threads on this forum. They may even be on another page, but there is so much valuable information here from folks who are "in the know". I am new to this (into my 2nd year), and have been amazed at what you can do with a little help. Feel free to ask questions, (none about brugs are off limits), and you will be surprised at how much you know very quickly. As it says when we post, we respond with kindness and Brug love.

Welcome Selma!
For the Brugs we have with names, remembering which is named what is really simple, name tags, lol.
Usually though, I just remember which one I have sitting where.

For the Brugs we don't have but want... well, for me personally, after going through various galleries a few hundred times, the names of the ones I like the most tend to stick with me, and I save a picture to remember.
