Carol, so many of my brugs has suffered thur the heat this summer and now they have stared to y and put on buds.
I know I won't get to see a lot of them bloom this yr. I plan to try and cover them for the first few frosts and see if I can maybe see some of them bloom.
All summer long I only had 3 or 4 flowers, now I have painted lady with about 5 flowers and lots of buds, axle rose, velvet rose , miss caylie and a bunch of others that are fixing on blooming this week... not getting any bud drop like I was last month.I have been busy all day making flower covers so I can play like a bee.lol have lots of pollen in the freeze to play with.
The covers are made of net and you are able to still enjoy the blooms without the bees getting to them.
Carol, I like those Daturas! Is that yellow with purple on the tips? And the white with just the little bit of purple is very nice.
Mountain Treasure is looking good, I didn't realize it was so light compared to MM.

Elva, I'm really impressed. I would love to be able to make my own Brug creation.
Bet you feel like Dr. Frankenstein!! BWHAAAAAA
Lynne, it is yellow with purple trim. The funny thing is that all the Datura came from last years seeds and they were deep purple with white trim last year. This year they're several colors from the same seeds.
What's up with that?
Carrie, I'll check out my pictures and see what I did wrong.
Lynne, I must have some talented bees and moths and never knew it.
They are always covered in bees. Isn't this exciting. My little critters made some pretty Daturas for me. I just wonder if they'll be this color when I plant the seeds.
Where are the pictures? I went to the gallery but the only Carol I saw posted pictures back in December, I didn't see anything recent. Those Datura sound wonderful!
