I don't know if I'm breaking the rules, but Patrick is out of town, sooooooooooo. I just went to www.seedsprout.com to look at Earth Angel, which I have been planning on buying. The ones Bren has featured on her opeing page just blew me away! http://www.seedsprout.com/index.html
I'm not sure what to do now, I've had plans to buy Earth Angel since the Spring and now I see these which are all just unbelievable.

Patrick and I just read this, and could not agree with you more ... makes your mouth water and your mind undecided unless you can have all of them. They are truly beautiful !!
Trying to choose between, New Orleans Lady and Jamie's Monkey Business, or those gorgeous double whites makes my head hurt! I'll have to see how much I have from selling my cuttings at the garage sale at the end of the month, whatever I take in will have to go for one of them.

I think Bren has some great plants, due to putting some thought into her crosses as well as growing some good crosses from others and only keeping and naming the best of the best. Nice stuff!!
Thank you all so very much for such nice compliments. We do try our best to offer the best. We appreciate getting orders but hopefully I will also have enough stock plants going by next year to be able to trade and share a few of our new ones. Next year has got to be better than this year. We normally get two crops of cuttings off of our Brugs and this year we barely got one from most of them. It has been a sad year. Hopefully we will get more shade houses up for next year and have a better season.
I think next year seedlings in the next year or two are going to get even better thanks to growers like Shirley who are willing to share the new genes to work with. We are also trying very hard to get a purple or as close to purple as we can. I really see this one coming in 3 to 5 years. I keep saving my seedlings with strong lavender tones and then breed these two back together. It is just so frustrating that it takes 4 months or so to get a ripened seed pod and then another 5 to 9 months or so to see a bloom.
Bren, I cannot express how much I appreciate the efforts and hard work that you and Shirley put into growing these beauties so that others may enjoy them. I wish I had more patience (working on it), but until then, I will depend on you to keep up the good work.
I second that! Bren and shirley do some incredibly gorgeous crosses! I am all for a purple brug!!! I am seriously thinking about breaking the bank to get New Orleans Lady, but I would probably have to take a second mortgage out on my house for a Purple!!!! That would be so incredible. Keep up the wonderful work!!!
Bren & Shirley, you're the best. Not only are you talented in crossing and presenting new brugs but you're both so generous with your advice and cuttings. We're quite fortunate to have your input.
Thanks, too, to all the members who make this forum a success. It's such a friendly atmosphere for sharing great ideas.
Bren, we're looking forward to a break through in the "purple" brug department.
I had the pleasure of meeting Ruth and her husband Lawrence (I think...I am terrible with names) a couple of weeks ago at the Georgia Round-Up. We all stayed at the same Lodge and had the greatest of times. I was looking for a photo and in the few that we took, Ruth has her back to the camera!
I want ALL of them... (something to dream about..)
Bren - Dawna B. is in CONNECTICUT??? A fellow Bruggie in CONNECTICUT??? I'm so excited! Would you contact Dawna and give her my e-mail address? I'd LOVE to have someone local to share my brug enthusiasm with...
