Hi everyone, Haven't been posting much. Too much to do and too little time to do it in. We have been doing inventory at work this week so our hours have been really messed up. 12 hours a day, going in late, working late. My husband left the first of the week, out of state working. When I got home from work this evening, he was home. It was dark outside, had groceries in the car, and alot of plants to be brought in. When I pulled up to the house he came outside and took most of the grocery bags out of my hand and carried in the house, then when I went back outside to start moving my plants in he came out and for every one plant I moved, he moved two. I know he was tired too cause he had about a 6 hour drive back home today. You just gotta love them, and thank them, for caring enough about you to help you with stuff they know you care for.
Thanks for sharing that sweet story with us. I agree, there are some really wonderful husbands out there, and mine is one of them also. He doesn't really care about growing plants, but he is so supportive of me.
HATS OFF to all the dear husbands who help their brug addicted wives .
How nice of him to help you. We are lucky to have such thoughtful husbands.
I would not have been able to grow so many Brugs all these years if my husband didn't help me with all the heavy work.
Have to agree with all of you!! My hubby has had a run of bad luck for the past two years, but he still helps me with mine too. He really helps with the addiction. He keeps telling me which ones I need. LOL!!
Hurray for the helpful hubbies!!
My story is a little different....if it weren't for my hubby, I would probably have grown more. I thank him every day for not allowing that to happen. LOL! I can't imagine trying to store more than I already have.
LOL, love all the stories about the helpful hubbies including Shirley's who tries to keep her "head straight" about how many to grow. Add mine to the list of "GREAT HUBBIES", too. We couldn't do it without you
(all of you).
Have to add mine to that list too.
Yesterday he nearly killed himself trying to put this thing together, but together we got it far enough along before he dropped, that I could finish the tie-down by myself this morning. (He's ok now, I helped him inside and into bed and after a few hours of rest he was feeling much better!) I never could have gotten it put together without him doing all of the hard stuff.
To all of those who support our addiction, in whatever form that support may be...

That looks like the one I have!!! Yours looks a little bigger tho. And I will attest to the fact it is a BEAR to install. (This is supposed to be installed in 30 mins! HA! Want to see who can do that!) I took me 3 days after work just to frame it and had a friend help me on the weekend putting the cover on (Another 3 hrs!!) What size is yours? Mine is 6' X 10' I have the shelves all set up for my brugs when the temps fall. You will enjoy this!!!
Linda, same company, it's the flowerhouse, "farmhouse." It's 9 x 9.
It really is horrible to try and get it together! LOL! See, with them saying "pop up design" I really thought that I'd unroll it, and it would literally pop up. I think the wind helped though... at one point, we had it on it's side, trying to put in two poles to form an X across the side, a huge gust of wind came along and blew it open like a big sail! Atleast it gave us a break from having to try and hold it up while attempting to find where to stick the pole!
Kathy, I dream of the day when we'll have a greenhouse with a cooling and humidifying system. Alas... 'tis only a dream... lol. But with a cool GH, we'd be able to grow so many things we want, but can't because of the heat... S. divinorum, Monkshood, Wolfbane, and the other "banes," Queen Ann's Lace, Mandragora... the list goes on and on....
