Well, the temps are dropping by the minute here. From 60's during the day, it's going to be 40's today and 30's daytime after that. The cold front came in with very high winds and LOTS of rain. Now Monday we are supposed to have SNOW!
Selma, you were right. It was only a matter of time...
Do you suppose MN is trying to make up for all the heat by sending us an excessive amount of cold??? It is 19 degrees here this morning. We have had an unusual extended period of freezing weather. My little birds have really been eating a lot - and it is very difficult to keep their water from freezing. Take care all - Spring will be here one day, I am sure !!!!!
Strange weather nationwide....just like the summer of 2006. It's only mid 40's here in the Valley and that's rather unusual for this time of year. It seems to be moving across the country from west to east in a pretty predictable manner.
I had moved my little brug plants up close to the house under the overhang on the north side before I left last week and they have faired just fine. That's the first thing I checked when we arrived home about 11 last night.
Whew! The bad part of the storm missed us. No snow - just temps dropping. I'm using so much wood in the furnace and it's not even the worst part of winter yet!
Tell me about it. I left for Long Island on Friday afternoon and it was 75 degrees. By the time I got there 4 hours later it was down to 40. I got back to MD today and it's FREEZING!

Old man winter is here in North Carolina too. Supposed to be in the low 30's to high 20's every night this week. Can't think of any part of the 20's that is high.
