I'll say you did add more pics !!! You certainly have some beautiful plants there to brighten someone's home. Poinsettias still are my Christmas flower of choice - we have always had them at Christmas time. Thanks for sharing this with us ---- !!
What a visual treat Karyn.
For me, Amaryllis were our family choice for Christmas plants.
My dad always grew one that bloomed on cue at just the right time and as kids we were always in awe of the speed they grew at. I still grow some but I have learned how to keep them from year to year in the garden, allowing the bulb to size up so that usually means they flower in the spring here for me after I bring them in come fall and give them their 10 weeks of rest.
He's a wholesale floral distributor. That's only a small part of what's in the warehouses. We break our backs at our farm, not at the shop. There's 50 employees to do most of the heavy work there! lol
Beautiful, Karyn! In the past, I've worked a bit as a florist & your pics remind me of visits to the florists' wholesale houses. Masses of cut flowers and potted blooming plants can be overwhelmingly impressive.

Patrick have you ever been to the flower auction in Alsmeer, Holland? That is absolutely amazing. It takes forever to walk the whole auction floor, it's so big. My husband goes every couple years for business and I always manage to tag along. lol

Oh Karyn, everything is so beautiful. But on you photo post of 11-7, what is the last picture? I had one of those a few years ago and lost it, I have been looking for another one but just didn't know the name. When in full bloom it is drop dead gorgeous.
Melanie, that is a justica carnea. I have those here in Broadway NC. They die to the ground every winter but always come back in the spring. Thet also root very easy. They are pretty but tend to wilt in the afternoon direct sun. You might try one in ground this spring. There can't be that much difference in our temps.
Melanie, don't think this one is addicting in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, it's very pretty but, it's either pink or white. No ecuador pink, no frosty pink, no Betty Marshall white etc. only pink or white. Although it is related to the shrimp plant family, but I ain't gonna try to go there. Come spring they'll be in garden centers. Lot's of times you'll see them in hanging baskets.
Wow, that is a lot of plants!
The poinsettas... I usually only see red ones, but I see creamy colored ones in the pictures, and today we got one that's sort of in-between the two.

I saw some the other day that was beautiful. You know how the flower part is not really a flower but red leaves, these looked like double red flowers with bright yellow stamens or what ever they're called. They almost looked artifical they were so pretty.
We grow poinsettias year round here in the Valley. I think I have a few doubles along with the singles and they can get quite tall, too. They have to be cut back twice a year (late Feb & late June) in order to bloom for Christmas. I'll take some pics once mine get in full bloom.
There are so many varieties. The one I like best is a double with cream, pink and green flowers. There's also a really cool variety that has crinkley petals. If I go back to the shop I'll get some pics of the unusual ones.

Patrick I haven't been but have heard that it's spectacular, especially in the late spring. Hopefully on my next visit to Amsterdam. I'd really love to go to Costa Rica. That must have been such a great trip and I loved your photos. It's quite different from Belize.
