"One is the loneliest number..."

Hey everyone,
I just wanted to share the first bud I've had so far this winter. In September I moved them in the greenhouse but didn't remove any summer leaves. I thought I could get by without watering them for a few days. I lost a huge number of leaves and all their summer buds, so this plant has been working on her second flush. Over the summer she gave me some amazing flushes, even going into the fall. Its a pink flower, but I have no idea of the cultivar. I have the plant on a 4.5 foot shelf, and the plant itself is around 3 feet tall, so when it does flush the flowers are directly overhead. This flower will probably start to open over the weekend so I'll take some shots on Monday.
Peace,
Nate

I have one single bud as well. It's a big disappointment, but better than nothing.

Things aren't really that bleak, I have plenty of buds on the way...they're just all about 1/8" at this point... That includes pretty much all the rooted cuttings taken from the pink. The peach is holding out a little on me, but its been suffering from more aphids and spider mites so I'm giving it a break.

Can't wait to see that bud open up into a pretty bloom.
It will be bloomless here for several more months so I love seeing pictures of blooms from the warmer zones.

Thanks for asking Selma. I'm feeling much better. Still have some of the cough left but I can live with that as I feel so much better.

I went in to water on Monday, hadn't opened completely yet. Took some other pics as well.

When will this thing be mature?

Looking good, won't be long now before the flower opens.
The seed pod... they make it so obvious when they're ripe. It starts with a light tan/golden tinge and heads toward brown patches. For my first pod, even with all the answers to my questions, I kept wondering if it was ready yet until the day I went out and saw that it was really ready. It's kind of a "you'll know it when you see it" sort of thing, at least it was for me.
