Is it common for seedlings to be trying to branch this small ? its just 10 inches tall i cannot find the original tag that had the date i planted the seeds but it still had a tag with just what it was i did not put the date i planted it on that one all this wind guess the tag is probably in the neibors yard lol i found a pic when it was smaller but apparently i did nto mark the date at all oops. i just found the original pic in my pictures and it was taken on oct 27 so the plant was about a month old than so it would make the plant about three months old it has been a fast grower. that is just a guestement

in gardening there are no failures only learning experiances unless of course you give up mikey in fl

You mean the little leaves along the sides, right?
All of our little guys had them, most fell off on their own, but I pulled the others off as the trunk changed from green to woody wood.
Isn't it amazing how fast they grow? I love it. Don't blink, lol.

I leave all of the leaves on the brugs until watering becomes a problem. Then I start whacking off some of the side branches/leaves. The more leaves they have, the more light (energy) they take in. When they are six foot tall, I just have to remove some of them. LOL!
