Happy New Year Everyone! Sorry I haven't been posting. We've been trying to catch up on some much needed work. We fell far behind on a lot of things in the greenhouse when DJ was sick all of those weeks. Hope all is well for you all and the ice storms aren't affecting any of you.
Here's a pretty for the winter blahs. Blooming this week in the greenhouse. I am not the hybridizer but so happy to have grown the seed from this one. She is a light orange to apricot color in this cool weather. Much like New Orleans Lady is during cool weather. It will be exciting to see if it is orange this season when the weather warms, however she is pretty in this color too if she decides to stay this way.
Hi Bren, yes, now that you mention it, I did miss you. And I much appreciate the pretty you posted for us poor frozen northwesterners. I am glad DJ is doing better, and you are cleaned up enough to be back chatting with us. Have a good new year.
SEveral years ago, after a particularly unhealthy year, we made a new years resolution not to meet any new doctors! And we were able to keep it for at least one year!
Bren, I hope your lovely brug does darken its color as warmer weather & increased sunshine come around. But as you said, she's quite pretty even if she stays as she is now.
Glad to hear things are getting back on track at your house & you have a chance to catch up in the greenhouses.

So glad to see you back! Glad DJ is doing better and you've got the work caught up.
That is a beautiful brug with it's apricot coloring. It would be an added bonus to have her turn more orange. What was the cross? Keep up the great work!
Bren, she's a beauty - and I LIKE that color! Glad to have you back (though I haven't been posting much lately myself...). I'm glad everything is calming down at your house. Now you will have more time for US! (HaHa)
We've been unseasonably mild here in the Northeast, but now MN is going to wack us good - freezing temps and wind for the nest few days. The nights are going to be brutal. I hope I can keep my brugs warm enough...
Bren, this may seem strange, but would you post a picture of the leaves of that Brug?
I love the flowers exactly as they are right there, and I see thick leaves with curvy edges, if they're velvety/fuzzy too... that one may be another that I have to have one of these days.
Hi Brenda. I'm sure glad you and your family are back on track now. Illness can really mess things up. I like your new brug. Very pretty. Before long we are going to be begging for hybridizers to make beautiful singles again. There are a lot of doubles to pick from now. I still like your New Orleans Lady. She is just too pretty.
