Babies

My seedlings are getting bigger. There's a bunch of different seedlings in one pic and a close-up of the iochromas. I wish I could remember what color iochroma the seeds were from but I guess I'll know soon enough:) It looks like they'll need to be repotted soon. I ran out of containers and had to put multiple plants in some pots.

These are some passion vines and baby brugs. The baby brugs and iochromas do look very similar as seedlings.

This is my first orchid of the year to bloom and a petunia seed must have fallen into one of my begonia pots. Strange to see a petunia inside, makes me think of summer.

Oh, my goodness, Karyn, you have been a busy girl. They all look so healthy. I love the petunia - I have a basket of "volunteers" blooming in the plant room now, and it just keeps me reminded that Spring is NEAR.

Way to go, Karyn! Looks like you've the the "touch". It will be interesting to hear about what colors you get from your iochromas. I don't know whether they are self fertile, but even if pollinated by the same colored plant, I should think you'll get variation in the progeny.

Nice looking plants, Karyn. I could never get my Iochroma seed to dry before I had to take them in the garage in the fall. You will get a lot of enjoyment from your plants.

Yes those are the amethystina seedlings. They have grown super fast. I have some passiflora seeds that I've been waiting on for a couple months. I'm not giving up because I've heard that some can take a year to sprout. I finally got ripe seeds from my vitifolia that I just planted. I'll see what kind of germination I have with those. I don't know what varieties might have pollinated the passies I got fruit from so it will be interesting to see what the flowers look like. I have about 10-15 varieties that are fairly close to each other and were all blooming around the same time.
