Our Brug Map shows member locations north & south of the area struck last night by severe storms/tornadoes in Central Florida, but none in the affected areas. However, some have not put their locations on the map. Does anyone know of another member that could have been in harm's way? MN gets way too wild sometimes. Sure hope everyone is safe & sound.

Don't know of anyone in the areas that got the worst of it, but there were supposed to be some pretty harsh storms in the northern section of FL too... you guys up there ok?
We were right below it, had lots of rain and too much wind, most of the plants were battered, beaten, broken, and laying on the ground this morning, but that's nothing compared to your entire house laying on the ground.

Wasn't this the same general area that was hit by the tornadoes on Dec. 25th? Unfortunately, most of the people affected then are still waiting on gov. help, insurance, and such, and there aren't many (if any) available hotel/motel rooms following the hurricanes that hit the year before Katrina.

Our prayers and well wishes go out to those harmed by the tornadoes in Florida last night. Let's hope none of our members were affected too badly. Lynne, sorry to hear about the destruction of your plants but as you say, it's nothing compared to losing a house or a life. Wish we could be there to help you pick things up. Good luck.

I saw the terrible destruction on our news tonight. I hope that none of our members were in the path of that tornado.
It's sad to hear of so many lives lost.

Glad you were spared, Linda, other than a few frozen blooms, that's bad enough. Hopefully, the freeze won't have harmed the entire plant and it will continue to perform for you next time around.

Carrie, it looks like MN has a few naughty tricks up her sleeves for 2007.
