I haven't been around much lately but that is fixing to change (husband broke his leg, had surgery and then had a heart attack while in recovery)! For the ones I sent tomato seeds to, it's time to get them started!! Let's hope that this summer (gosh, that sounds so far away) will be better than last!
Melanie, Sorry to hear that about your husband. Hope he's getting better now. Seems like your family has had more than your fair share of accidents lately. Hope the rest of this year and many years to come are better. Just tell him to be careful when he's up on his ladder picking tomatoes.
I have my seed started, Melanie - gave some to Colleen as she has a greenhouse and a way to get them going early. She reported that some have already sprouted, hope mine do soon.
Melanie, know that you and your husband will be in my prayers, and that I am hoping he will soon be back on that ladder picking tomatoes.
I wish I could start mine now, but they would end up way to weak. I generally start my tomatoes anytime after the middle of March. Can't wait to see them grow and produce. Hope the DH is feeling much better. I hope your spring is a good one for you all.
God love him!! He has got to be the most accident prone man I know!! In the last 3 years he has...cut his left thumb off, fell off a ladder (same one) broke his right wrist (also required surgery, metal plates and pins). When I say my life is a soap opera I'm not kidding! LOL!! But he can't wait for the weather to warm up so that he can get his hands dirty. He claims to have plans for all my brugs, but he can stay away from my babies and tend to his tomatos, which are his babies. And I will hide the ladder!! LOL!!
He might need that ladder for his tree tomatoes. LOL! I wouldn't go up a ladder. Stepping up on a step stool is to high for me. Have a nice Sunday, everyone!
Melanie, I am so sorry to hear of your husbands injury's and illness. I hope he has a full speedy recovery. I know this can't have been easy on your either. My husband isn't a very good patient so I just kringe when he is sick.
Melanie, I hope your husband is finished with his streak of bad luck with injuries & health issues. There's nothing like the approach of Spring to lift spirits and bring positive attitudes, but tell him to take it easy - "we ain't kids no more" and we must be a lot more careful with those ladders & tools.
