Hi everyone. Yesterday I decided it was time to go to the wholesale store and buy some larger pots again. I had to pot many of my brug plants into larger pots and I had already used what I had. I instead got the idea to post a "Wanted" request for some of the larger pots on Craig's List. I couldn't believe I got two responses right away. One was from a landscaper fairly close to my home. He said he had lots of large pots and for me to come and take as many as I wanted. I was so excited on the way to pick up the pots that I had to call Patrick to see what he wanted me to look for. I brought home over 300 pots in excellent condition. As soon as I returned home I looked on the computer again and there was another man who lives near Patrick and he had lots of pots to give away as well. I don't know if you have Craig's List in your area, but check it out for pots. The best part is they were FREE.

I've been using Craigslist and Freecycle to get rid of my extra plants that I have no room for but can't bear to toss in the compost pile. I get loads of responses and find homes for everything. If anyone lives near me and wants pots I have thousands of extra plastic nursery pots (all sizes), plug trays and plant trays. They just get stacked up between the greenhouses.

I followed up on Sally's lead for free pots in my area. Lee (turned out to be a female Lee) was cleaning pots out of her garage and gave me a bunch that will prove very handy. I enjoyed getting to also see her yard. In addition, one of her neighbors has a long, narrow piece of property and lets her garden on part of it...nice arrangement!

Funny how things go. Lee asked me what I needed so many pots for & I told her about my passion for brugs (sounds better than addiction?!) and she said her mother & sister both grow them. She also said she was only familiar with white- and yellow-flowered cultivars. After I launched into an enthusiastic dissertation on all the wonderful colors & forms now available, she started considering a spot in her yard that would be a good site for an in-ground brug.....gotta love enabling someone on the path to brug addiction. I'm hoping all 3 women will join us here on the forum.
