This brug hasn't been around a long time, but at least a couple of years or more. A friend sent Jamie to me last fall and I was afraid she wasn't going to look like much, but I think in another couple of weeks, she will be pretty. She must have over a hundred buds on her. I know I'll have to take her in before she blooms. I couldn't be that lucky to have the frost hold off that long.
Shirley, Jamie is neat. Love the variegated leaves and the yellow/orange blooms. Isn't that pretty much a first for variegated with orange?? The plant itself is really nice...open and airy. Keep us posted on this one.
Shirley, Jamie is so pretty. I really missed having a varigated brug. this year, but it seems like they always get attacked by cats. so bad, that I decided it wasn't worth it this year. I still had a major attack of cats on alot of my other brugs. so it really wouldn't have made any difference.
I have been using Safers BT spray for the cats, but it doesn't seem to do alot of good. Does anyone else use anything that works well ?
I generally don't have a problem with cats. This year it is mites and the grasshoppers have started. They have eaten the tops out of many of the seedlings.
Hope, Jamie is a sport from Charles Grimaldi, I'm told. I think the yellow really shows off the foliage more than the peach of Maya does.
Well, I sure need to find something to use on the Cats besides Safers BT. I have alot of seedlings that lost their growth tips to Cats, and I was spraying every couple weeks.
Is the Safer's a spray or a drench? I think it would have to be a product with BT in it, but if it gets old, it won't work. I think three years or maybe it's two and the living organisms in the product won't work. If I could write the words that BT stands for, LOL, that is what dies.
