Okay, I'm convinced

I've been spending my evenings going through old posts, 38 pages worth. I've looked at just about everything on wintering over. For 3 years I have been putting my 3 untrimmed 5-6 foot tall brugs in the basement and watering them once a month. Well I'm going to (cringe) cut them down this year, put the tops in water and the pots in the basement. Oh please reassure me.

My two 3 footers (sunset and Inca gold)will be upstairs in south windows. I need to do this in the next week, I will be in Colorado after that and we will certainly have a frost while I am gone. It's been a very warm fall here. Someone in this group said something about wanting a hibiscus I have called Chad, contact me and I will arrange a baby plant for you. My house is getting very full as I bring in all my out of zone plants.

for all your help

The tops..... cut off all but the top 2 small leaves. Do not sit the cuttings in sunlight, have them in indirect sun until you see roots. Place them where the temperatures will be constant, fluctuations are hard on cuttings.

You'll be fine.

Sally, you've been mighty busy catching up on all the postings....lots of good info there, though, so is worth the effort. Good luck with your winter packing.

Thanks, Ruth Ann if you can grow such wonderful plants in Ontario (I've been admiring your photos through the threads)I can try here. I was happy with my pot Brugmansia, but all of you have inspired me. Thanks.

my night blooming cerus is all budded up,it probably will bloom while I'm in Colorado.
