Newbie with buds

This newbie now has buds and blooms. The three year old yellow brug that never bloomed has lots of leaves now, but still has not Y'd although it is now 6 feet tall. Several of the brugs I received since April have buds. What will it take to get these buds to bloom before frost. I know I have to bring them in, but should I keep them in a cool room or upstairs in 68 degrees? And do I have to eventually remove all leaves? Thanks for any feedback.

Jody

Hi Jody, welcome!
How big are the buds and how close are you to frost?

By the way, your weather sticker has a ? rather than your temperature, check your code for it, right here there's a double /
weathersticker/smalltemptr//language/www/US/WA
If you take out one of them it'll show your temperature.

here's hoping you get blooms before you have to drag your brugs inside for the winter, Jody. If they're in pots now and you can take them in at night, or at least protect them from frost and freezing, and outside during the warmth of the day, it might help them bloom for you. Since I leave mine in the ground year round, I find they rather like the cooler temps but, of course, would not tolerate being frozen.
