Hello! My name is Vanessa. I was invited here by Jarie! She is sweet awesome person! I am new to brugmansias but I am learning. I have seen some helpful info on this site already! Thanks for looking! Looking forward to getting know everyone.
Hi Vanessa, It's so nice to meet you! I was invited over here by Jarie also. What you said about her is so true! I've only been here about a week & I feel like part of a family! Be sure to keep in touch.
Welcome! I am new also and love this forum. I haven't asked too many questions yet since I have learned a lot just from reading the older posts. I'm still exploring the sight also. Tons of great pictures and information are here. Jarie is a very special and generous person. She is the one who told me about this forum and shared some cuttings with me as well. Its nice to know people as nice as her are still around.

Vanessa, welcome to the brug house --- I hope we make you feel right at home. This is an awesome group that you will soon learn to appreciate as much as I.
I've been doing the happy dance since I found this place through a Google search. Welcome, this group is so nice. The previous posts are full of information and Shirley and the others a font of knowledge. They are amazing, ask a simple question and they kindly respond with all kinds of helpful advice. I love it here.

to all for the kind words but I merely enjoy passing along my love of brugs by sharing cuttings/plants and telling others I meet about this wonderful forum where they can meet so many friendly brug enthusiasts willing to share their love and knowledge of this beautiful plant. It's nice to hear you say that you "feel like family" since coming here. That's what we're all about.
Come often, enjoy your stay and if you need help with anything, just ask.
Vanessa!

Thanks for the link patrick I will go there now and fix that! Once again thank you everyone!! Thanks to Jarie I am rooting some cuttings and have one brug plant! I will be growing my brugs inside for winter and will be growing my brugs in containers. Does anyone else do that? I dont live in a warm place and will have to bring them inside for winter. I would love to hear any tips or wisdom any of you may have to offer a newbie!

Vanessa, most of us live in areas that get too much cold weather for brugs. I have both container and inground brugs as I will have below freezing temps several times during the winter months. The container ones are housed either in the garage or plant room, and the inground ones are cut off (I share the cuttings with others), and the roots are heavily mulched. They come back in the Spring, and bloom all summer. I know you are going to enjoy growing these beauties!!
