Help for indoor brugs

Hi all, this may have been addressed earlier, but it is much nicer to read it again! I have my young brugs indoors, and they almost immediately dropped leaves (someone said this was to be expected) and they have, for the most part, started new, paler green, leaves. And I am going through the agony of not enough water, too much water, are the leaves too dry at the tips, but the soil is slightly damp. But my question is do I fertilize them inside?
Anyone else out there in the same quandry? That lovely garage full/house full of brugs--how do you know when to water them, or is it a one size fits all--if one is dry, the rest must be also. Thanks for any input.

Hi Selma. I am eager to hear what people say also. I decided to try to fertilize mine and made the mistake of using blood and bone meals. It took a little bit for it to click where the horrible, most putrid smell imaginable was coming from, lol. I decided not to do that again, but will see what others say and go from there. Sorry I couldn't be any help.

LOL, Jason--have done some similar things. Live and learn, I guess they say.
Stinky lesson to learn, though.

Sometimes I will give the brugs that I keep growing inside a very diluted fertilizer. Not often, maybe every 4 weeks if at all but I will give them an occasional dose of ST, B-1 and Seaweed extract while they are inside.

And another question: Howcome cuttings start so well in water, put out nubbies, and even roots, and yet when put in to potting soil, they don't like their feet to stand in water????

Selma, the best answer I ever got to that question was... Air, oxygen. Water, by default, has oxygen in it that can be absorbed freely by the roots, but soggy soil has very little oxygen making it difficult for roots to survive.
