This is the first winter that I have had no major pest problems with my brugs. Only one small spider mite infestation at the beginning of winter, and I haven't seen the little buggers since. (I credit that to Orthenex - it works every time). Yahoo!
Also, my brug cuttings are doing better than any other winter since I've had them. I guess practice makes perfect. I credit that to not making the cuttings too small. Instead, I opted for large "Y" cuttings which weathered the winter much much better. And, since there were less and larger plants to take care of, my success rate was very high this year - only a few small casualties this winter.
Seeds, though, are still slow to grow for me. I have more luck with them in the Spring and Summer than I do during the winter months. I don't know why...
Only a month or so more and I can start putting plants outside a little...
Knock on wood that nothing happens to them between now and then....
How's everybody else doing with their cuttings, etc?
