Sang seeds, to peel or not to peel...

...that is the question? I have 20 sang seeds soaking & more on the way. But I haven't heard if you should peel them or not? Thanks in advance.

I peel mine. If they were very fresh seeds, I might try a small control batch that I would leave unpeeled.

Sang seeds are small, I don't peel mine, but I do make sure they stay sealed in a clear-covered container to keep the humidity high so they can easily shed the seed coat.
Either way is fine though. I usually loose some to damage from my fingernails if I peel.

I planted these unpeeled, I'm a little nervous of my fingernails as well... I'm getting more, hopefully this week, & they're not very fresh at all, so I may put in the time to carefully peel them. I would assume that peeling would encourage them to germinate a bit, yes? The new ones are several years old, from a sanguinea self-fertilization induced by incompatible pollen (Culebra & versicolor, as I recall). Keeping my fingers crossed...
