Yesterday I went to a GW plant swap in my area. I met a guy there who was very enthused about brugs...he got his 1rst cuttings from the same GW member that I did. I gave him my email address & hope to hear from him, so I can invite him to the forum.
I found it interesting that he kept a sanguinea indoor over winter & got a bloom from it! He lives in the area that got 10" of snow Friday night & was interviewed on the local news weather segment...I watched it last night.

Hello Patrick: Would luv to attend some plant swap meets, not only for the plants, but to meet other enthusiasts. Is there a helpful source/site where the dates and places for these are published? I think many of us newbies and novices might not know where to go to get this sort of information.

Hi Gloria, the swaps I've gone to have been announced thru GardenWeb. In my area, they'd be listed under the Pacific Northwest Garden Exchange Forum. If you look thru the index of GW forums, you may find a similar forum for your area.
Twice a year, spring & fall, there is a "Green Elephant" plant swap hosted in the parking lot at a church in the Redmond-Woodinville, WA area. In addition, there may be as many as 3-4 swaps with potluck lunches held at individuals' homes, all around the Puget Sound area.
Those swaps have been "general gardening" in nature. Last summer, those of us Brug Forum members that live in this area had a potluck get together in Marysville. That was the only one I've attended that was primarily related to brugmansias.

Yes, and that potluck was wonderful. It was so nice to meet others in the area, and put names and faces together. IF we ever get spring or summer, are we going to do another??
I was thinking of doing another one for brug nuts this year like Tracie & I did last spring. Haven't decided yet if we can swing it in the spring or if we have to wait until fall, should know soon.
Thats wonderful Patrick. I discovered another brug enthusiast in my town also from GW. We are going to get together soon so I can give her a couple of cuttings to get her started again. She is from Germany and does not have any now. I will tell her about this forum as well.
Why I am he, Patrick! And thank you for inviting me to the forum. I am very excited about brugs, and hope to learn alot more about them here.
Thanks again, Gordon
Welcome to the best brug group on the web, Gordon! There are many here who are willing to help a newbie...just ask when you have questions. Once you get hooked on brugs, you're done!! It will be 24 hour gardening...well, that's stretching it a bit but they are enchanting and so much fun to grow. Good luck and come to the forum often.
