Rare Fruit Tee Sale

sunday may 18 the manatee rare fruit council will host there anual rare fruit tree sale at the manatee civic center in palmetto florida. http://mrfc.org/sale.asp this is a link to the website it shows a list of possible plants at the sale the actual varietys and species vary every year

in gardening there are no failures only learning experiances unless of course you give up mikey in fl

lol i live in palmetto been here most of my life the first 3 years of my life i was in jacksonville. the last 33 i have been here. the sale went good was a tireing day but was fun.

Kiss home for me Mikey. I haven't been able to get back there for a year, and boy do I miss the Crab Trap! (I'm also jonsing for a Popi's spinach pie with Greek salad.)

i am partial to there michaels salad lol been here my whole life and might have eaten at the crabtrap twice. the sale went good was allot less to load than we had to unload so that was good

i did get two african blue basil they are a perennial basil if you keep this basil trimmed the leaves stay almost all the way purple but i let them flower it helps bring in pollinators so it keeps some purple but not as much.if i had more property i would have bought several things but have to be selective about what i plant i should say now i a have to be. i am starting to get rid of stuff that just will not work here on my small piece of property 40 x 100 lot

I know that cramped feeling. My lot including the house is only 75 x 140. I want to have it all so I just stuff it in & keep trying new things. I have about 100 different kinds of seeds from a seedbox trade that I don't know anything about. Cool name, think I'll try that one. LOL I am also finding out that things will overwinter that I never knew about. Like my Mandevilla & Snail Vines (both died back to the soil & are growing again). I am going to try to save Pepper plants this year.
