Newby who's HOOKED!

So Carrie and Patrick have introduced me to the world of Brugs. I've been enjoying the flushes at Carrie's house, and looked forward to the day when I'd have a brug (or 2) of my own. Then Carrie gave me a few (quite a few!) of her potted brugs, to officially get me started.

I "assisted" with the annual brug-cutting at Carrie's house (that means I marked cuttings with the names Patrick told me) and took home cuttings of some of the "best of the best". WAY more than a cutting or 2!

Now I'm being rewarded with the sweet scent of brugs in my kitchen as I'm rooting the cuttings. I've had "Dr. Seuss" blooming, followed by "Whiskers" (which I swear smells like baby powder), and now a NoID white.

So how much fun are these plants? A 'bouquet' that will be my plants for next year!!!

Glad I'm here!

Lin

I am glad you are here too! Welcome! Nothing smells quite like a brug--it is wonderful.

Hey, Lin, so good to meet up with you here. Lin and Patrick were my lifesavers the Friday before the "cutting". They helped me get all my hanging baskets and tender plants into the plant room before the approaching freeze..... such good friends !!!
Lin will be such a wonderful addition to our little family of brug lovers.

Welcome, I am a little jealous of brug scent right now. Living in the freezer of New England, it will be a while until I smell it again.

[linked image] Lin, Brugs are like potato chips, you can't have just one.

Believe me, when Lin gets moved to her new house with acreage in
East Texas, she will have many ideal spots for brugs. I can hardly wait to see it when it all comes together.

Yes, my new place in Quitman has 15 shaded acres, so I guess I'll have a blast with brugs! I've got several locations in mind... this will certainly keep me busy!

Hi Lin - I'm glad to see you here. We had such a good time getting acquainted. I came home with a t-shirt from Babe's. I had a lot of good eats both there and at Carrie's (she does feed the "hired hands" pretty darn good).
