We are getting rain here in Texas ...... some of the severe drought areas are getting soaked this week. It's a miracle !!! I have been working hard to get my beds cleaned and topped-dressed for this event, so now I can just sit inside and watch. Albeit a tad cool, at least it is moist......yaaaaaaaaaaay !!!!

Well Carrie, I'm about 10 "tad cooler" degrees than you, but no rain...sunshine & blue skies. It was about 28 F. this morning, but very slowly warming. We have a low pressure area sitting off the coast that is drawing in the Big Chill from Alaska & Canada. That has to move away from us before we'll get warmer. I was at my sister's house (about 30 miles from me) 2 days ago and it dumped 3" of fluffy snow in about 2 hours. It looked like a scene suitable for Christmas cards, but I must say...it's getting a little late in the season for all that snow. At least this time of year, it goes away pretty fast.

I'm glad you are all getting the weather you need or want. I think it was about 15 here this morning, early. We are up to 23 according to my computer. After about three days of rain and now still in a flood warning area, we can go without rain for a little while. I just wish for "green" and warm. Brown and cold is boring.

Well, all I can say is I'm getting a bit tired of getting up to 2" of new snow that fell during the night! Will this ever give way to Spring?!

My son lives in Denver and it seems every time I called him this winter it was 65 degrees, while I was sub-zero.

Gonna be another beautiful day here in North Texas. I really, really want to put my brugs and other plants out, but fear MN will remind me AGAIN that she is still in charge, and oh, I would hate to have to put them all up again. So, I am moving a few of the plants out that can cope with a short term cold snap, and it makes me feel good to look out and see a few "IN PLACE" !!!
Hope all of you will soon be "burdened" with tending your plants outdoors !!!

It's supposed to be 72 today. My dormant bruggies are starting to wake up & sprout new leaves. I know at least one made it. [linked image]

Linda, you don't have a place where you live on your sign in. Where are you that it is 72 degrees? Don't your newfs get too hot?

Cumberland in Western MD, Zone 5b. We are a different zone than most of the state & there is a really cold county above me. The dogs live in air conditioned comfort & lounge on the couch & enjoy the cool breezes in summer. My Newf is getting up there. Abby will be 10 in April & she still loves the snow & water. The new young American Eskimo we got last year (I foster animals) has turned her into a puppy & the two of them play all the time. 150 lbs of chase is not a good idea inside. LOL
