I just can't quit taking pictures of my pipevine swallowtails! There must have been ten or more of them in my garden today! I wish they were easier to photograph, like tiger swallowtails, who keep their wings open while they're engrossed in nectaring. PVSs flutter their wings so rapidly, most of my pictures wind up a wingy blur. Strong sunshine like we're having today shows off the iridescence of a PVS's hindwings, underside or topside, or their body - now if I can just get a picture where the sunshine lights up both the body and the hindwing!
