I know almost nothing about Butterflies moths and caterpillars. I found a Bright Yellow hairy (spiny) caterpillar in the driveway a while ago. It is about 2 inches long. Can anyone tell me what it is?

Hi Lee
No I am very sorry no picture. I thought maybe it came from the catalpa tree in my neighbor's yard but I looked up catalpa catapillar and it wasn't that. Carol over on the hummer forums guess spicebush swallowtail but that wasn't it either. It was just all bright yellow like a yellow lemond drop hard candy and fuzzy. Of course I left it be since I don't know what it is I don't know if those hairs are spines and are poisonous or not.
