I got a nice hello this morning when this pretty butterfly showed up above my garage door. The shape isn't symmetrical, so I hope s/he is okay.

It looks like it will be ok...I've seen butterflies with most of their wings gone and they still flitter around. They are pretty resiliant. It probably got itself caught in a bush/plant and it tore it's wing or it got lucky from almost being dinner of a bird or a Praying Manthis.
Here's a pic of a Praying Manthis that my husband relocated into our front yard til it flew away. I was so upset when I saw it dining on one of our Cloudless Sulphurs (my fav...)...
